When some fisherman mentions the fishing lure brand Megabass, the first association that springs to my mind is Megabass Vision. That was the first Megabass lure model I was introduced to from the wide range of Megabass products. At that time I thought, that Megabass lures are the most expensive lures in the world. Megabass Vision was the most expensive fishing lure that I had seen.
I started to collect some information about this lure- do other fishermen like Megabass Vision lures and which is the best size? I found out, that in my country and big Russia it is one of the most popular pike fishing lures. Some fishermen like size 95, others like 110. Whatever the size, most fishermen love this lure.
After some time I found out, that it is cheaper to buy this lure on eBay, than I had to pay for it in my country. And after a while I bought this lure. I have had this lure for a few years. When I look back at all time I have had it, I have not used it not so often. Therefore I have not got a lot of fish on it, just a few. I even do not have any picture with fish caught with this lure. Maybe the paradox is, that it is an expensive lure and I have been afraid to lose it.
Anyway- Megabass Vision is one of the most popular lures series in the world and a lot of fishermen try to keep some of them in their tackle boxes.
COMPARING MEGABASS VISION 95 WITH KOSADAKA MYSTIC XS 95F
Kosadaka has made a twin brother of Megabass Vision 95 and named it Mystic XS 95F. But it is not an exact copy. They have few minor differences- eyes shape, hooks and rattles in the stomach of the lure. I decided to plunge both lures in my aquarium, where the water temperature is 25’C to see, what they do in the water. I was surprised. At this water temperature (*) Megabass Vision and Kosadaka Mystic both showed to be slow floating lures. Another thing, the rattles in the stomach of the Mystic did also the function of weight transfer. I am sure, that during a cast it helps the lure to fly better than the Vision! I cannot wait the open water season to try this lure!
Kosadaka Mystic has become one of the most popular lures among Russian pike fishermen. Maybe, because of the rattle sound, it often catches pike better than the twin brother Vision. But maybe it is because it flies better.
